David joined Michael P. Kahn & Associates during 2004 to assist clients in preparation of financial forecasts. His background includes 12 years in financial management positions with Sears, Roebuck & Co.David served as the Director of Installation for Sears' retail remodeling operation, The Great Indoors, managing 200 field associates and $40 million in revenues. Prior to that he served as Director of Finance for The Great Indoors during the start-up of the operation, and was responsible for overseeing the financial management of the company as it grew from $40 million to over $500 million in revenues in three years. His responsibilities included overseeing accounting, financial and strategic planning, management reporting and participating in all real estate decisions impacting the company. Previously, David was employed by other Sears entities in financial and strategic planning and financial management capacities. Projects he has been involved with include the restructuring of over $850 MM of debt on the Sears Tower and the 1992 strategic repositioning of Sears that led to the spinoff of Dean Witter and the sale of Coldwell Banker. Prior to his work at Sears, David worked as a real estate analyst at Chemical Bank in New York.David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at the University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Chicago. |
