Dr. Packo is an emergency medicine residency trained, board certified physician with over 15 years experience in emergency medicine. He currently serves as President, and oversees coding and reimbursement, claim submission, appeals, customer service, insurance contracting, credentialing, risk retention group (RRG) operations, facility contracting and oversight, and operations.
Dr. Packo is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is a member of the National and Ohio Chapters of the American College of Emergency Physicians and is Treasurer and on the Board of Directors for the Ohio ACEP. He serves on the Education, Reimbursement, and Coding and Nomenclature Committees of National ACEP. He serves as the Chair of National ACEP’s Coding and Reimbursement Conferences, and on the planning Committee for ACEP's Scientific Assembly. He is a member of the Reimbursement and Governmental Affairs Committees of Ohio ACEP, serves as a Councillor for Ohio ACEP to National ACEP. He is a Board of Trustee Member of Massillon Community Hospital and serves on the Hospital Board's Finance and Professional Affairs Committees. He is a member of the AMA and Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA), and is a member of the Board of the Stark County Medical Society.
Dr. Packo holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Doctorate of Medicine from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He performed his internship and residency in emergency medicine at Akron General Medical Center. |
