David Ibarra is a well-known leadership consultant, and entrepreneur. Mr. Ibarra is the founder of eLeaderTech, the Ibarra-Brito Group and David Ibarra Enterprises. In his business dealing Mr. Ibarra recognized the great need for a system to bridge the management gap between Planning and Execution To accomplish this goal, Mr. Ibarra developed Executing the Standards® a software program that measures, tracks and ultimately improves human performance. Over the course of its development it became evident that, in order to achieve maximum potential, the program had to be adapted to state-of-the-art technology. Mr. Ibarra guided the conversion of the product to an Internet-based software program geared toward the automotive industry and received a US patent in September 2000. David at present has two additional patents pending for performance management software programs.
David Ibarra’s background spans highly successful careers in the hospitality and automotive industries. Mr. Ibarra was the General Manager of a large metropolitan automobile dealership for nearly 10 years and haas held many other leadership positions within the retail automotive industry. Mr. Ibarra served as Director of Training for the Western United States and District Manager of Operations for the Marriott Corporation prior to entering the automotive industry. David also owned and operated several successful restaurants in the Western United States.
David Ibarra is very active in community and government affairs. In 1999 Mr. Ibarra was appointed by President Clinton to serve on the prestigious US Air Force Academy Board of Visitors. David also served on the Utah New Vehicle Franchise Board, Private Industry Council, and the Central Region Council for the Utah Department of Workforce Services. Mr. Ibarra currently serves as a board member for the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Salt Lake International Airport Advisory Board, and the Latino Leaders Network. David created the Ibarra Foundation in 2004 to invest in the future success of the Latino community by making a college education possible for students needing assistance. Currently, twelve students are receiving full tuition scholarships from his foundation. In 2006 the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce awarded Mr. Ibarra the Business Owner of the Year and the Award of Excellence in Education.
David is a vibrant public speaker who enjoys speaking to groups of children, young adults, and professionals about creating opportunity by turning hope into a useful tool to success. He has addressed audiences nationwide. By creating Executing the Standards® he has been able to study, formulate and implement the steps of ‘Planning’ and Execution’ in his own life to creatively combine his business, community and civic interests. Mr. Ibarra has had a lifetime passion for improving lives both in the business sector and in his community. David is married and the father of two sons. |
