David Hisco is Managing Director of Esanda, Australasia's leading provider of asset finance. Esanda offers vehicle and equipment finance, fleet leasing services and investment products for business and consumer markets. It operates as Esanda Finance in Australia, UDC Finance in New Zealand, with Esanda FleetPartners as the fleet leasing business in both countries. David joined Esanda from ANZ's Personal Division where as Managing Director, Retail Banking, he was responsible for the metropolitan branch network, the contact centre, financial planners, and the support people behind them. Prior to this, David was Managing Director of ANZ's Merchant Payments business, where he oversaw the launch and substantial growth of the MultiPOS business, drove through integration benefits of the Eftpos New Zealand acquisition, and repositioned ANZ's ATM business. David's appointment at Esanda is not his first experience with the business, having held a variety of senior positions from 1994 to 2000, including General Manager UDC (1998-2000), and National Manager Esanda Specialised Leasing (1996-1998). A highlight of David's time at UDC was taking the dealer finance market share from 5% to 22% following a re-engineering of business and sales processes. David's 25 year career with ANZ has also included several Corporate Banking management roles. David holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Monash University, and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Monash University (Mt Eliza).
He is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and an Associate of the Australian Society of Accountants.
