Dr. Ciavarella joined Coral Therapeutics as medical director in January 1995. Prior to joining Coral Therapeutics, Dr. Ciavarella served as Vice President of the New York Blood Center (NYBC), the largest independent blood center in the U.S., where he managed the Hudson Valley Blood Services division and as Director for Transfusion Services at Westchester County Medical Center, New York Medical College. He is a member of many professional societies and past president (1994-1995) of the American Society for Apheresis. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology, and Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Ciavarella earned is B.Sc., in Chemistry at Stanford University, California and his M.D. degree at the University of California, Los Angeles California. |
