Mr. Leefe’s practice experience spans 25 years and includes a broad range of litigation and contract matters. His practice emphasis is on maritime and offshore personal injury and property damage, drilling and downhole litigation, construction and shipyard disputes, products liability, contractual indemnity, and insurance coverage matters.He has tried numerous bench and jury trials in federal and state courts, commercial arbitrations, and is experienced at the appellate level. Within the firm, Mr. Leefe is chair of the Maritime, Oilfield, and Insurance practice group. He plays an active and valued role in recruitment and in the mentoring and professional development of firm associates.He is a frequent continuing education speaker on oilfield litigation and insurance issues and is active in state bar activities. He currently serves as a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s House of Delegates and has been Chair of the Association’s Client Assistance Fund Committee for several years. He is a past President of the Loyola Law School Alumni Association and the recipient of several pro bono service awards. |
