David W. Howell is a Managing Director of Duff & Phelps, LLC. Mr. Howell joined the firm in 2005 in connection with the acquisition of Valuemetrics. Mr. Howell has managed numerous corporate finance transactions for publicly traded and privately held businesses. He has advised clients on debt and equity financing, corporate valuation, employee stock ownership plans, management buyouts, mergers & acquisitions, incentive compensation, capital structure, fairness opinions and litigation support. Mr. Howell has worked with clients ranging from small to middle market and large corporate businesses. His industry experience includes services, manufacturing, distribution, construction and real estate.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mr. Howell was with Valuemetrics, a premier financial advisory and investment banking firm with offices in Chicago, New York and Atlanta. Prior to joining Valuemetrics, Mr. Howell served with Harris Nesbitt/Harris Bank in Chicago, a leading Midwest financial institution providing investment banking and financial services to middle market and large corporate clients.
Mr. Howell holds a Masters in Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, with concentrations in Finance and Strategy. His undergraduate B.A. degree in Economics was conferred at Northwestern University. He has advanced professional training in corporate finance, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, capital markets and debt instruments. Mr. Howell is a member of a number of industry and professional associations, and holds Series 7 and 63 Securities Licenses.
