Mr. Groff received a B.A. degree in Physics from Oberlin College in 1978. He was employed as a Health Physicist by Radiation Management Corporation from 1978 to 1983, then by Canberra Industries from 1983 to the present. His primary responsibilities have required calibration and operation of numerous gamma spectroscopy systems, including various types of in vivo counters using the Abacos family of software packages. He has over 25 years of experience in radiological characterization of contaminated sites, including in situ gamma spectroscopy measurements using ISOCS and other calibration techniques. He has prepared numerous formal reports, procedures, and technical manuals in support of these activities.
Mr. Groff's current position is Senior Health Physicist for the Canberra Training and Technical Services group. He shares responsibility for coordinating and providing a variety of on-site measurement, calibration, and consulting services. His current training responsibilities include the Abacos whole body counting and ISOCS applications courses. |
