David Weinert is senior vice president, leasing for The Taubman Company. Mr. Weinert, a 20-year veteran of the Taubman leasing department, heads the company's leasing function.
Mr. Weinert graduated from Western Michigan University majoring in Retail Merchandising with a minor in Business Management. He also later completed the Finance for Senior Executives Program at Harvard University. After college he joined Marshall Field's in Chicago, progressing through various management and merchandising positions, and gaining valuable retailing experience.
Having next served as a commercial real estate broker in the Chicago office of Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate, Mr. Weinert joined the Taubman leasing department in 1986. In 1992 he was named vice president, heading leasing for the company's western region, based in San Francisco. He returned in 2001 to the company's Bloomfield Hills headquarters as group vice president, leasing, where he was responsible for helping manage the entire leasing activity. He assumed his current position in 2004. |
