David Veit is retired Executive Director of Pearson plc, the international media and publishing company, a position he held from January 1981 to May 1998. He most recently served as Senior Advisor to Bain Capital Inc., a leading private investment firm, from May 1998 to December 2001. During that time, he served as Chief Executive Officer of two portfolio companies of Bain Capital, Bentley’s Luggage and Gifts and Jostens Learning Corporation. Prior to that, he served as President of Pearson Inc., the United States subsidiary of Pearson plc, from January 1985 to May 1998. Veit was also the Chairman of Camco, Inc. from May 1982 to October 1994. Veit serves as an independent Governor of the American Stock Exchange. He also serves on several boards of private companies. |
