David Agnew has more than 30 years of experience handling a wide variety of litigated matters including lawyers' and accountants' errors and omissions, mass torts, insurance coverage disputes, reinsurance arbitrations, and fidelity and surety bond claims.



A substantial part of his practice involves representing U.S. and overseas insurers in litigated matters throughout the United States which involve their excess policies. He has been admitted to practice on a pro hac vice basis in 14 states and tried cases to verdict in many of these venues.



David was lead counsel for London Insurers in the massive set of cases that were filed in both state and federal court arising out of the Chicago Flood of 1992. London Insurers prevailed in all cases after 12 years of highly contested litigation.



David also represented various excess insurers in litigation which arose out of a mine collapse in southeast Wyoming in 1985 that resulted in seven deaths and hundreds of serious injuries. After six years of pretrial discovery, he tried the case in Wyoming state court for over two months which resulted in a complete victory for the excess insurers.
