Experience: David has over twenty-four years of public accounting experience with a focus on closely held businesses. He is a firm wide resource in the area of business valuations and automobile dealerships. His current clients include dealerships, retail, private schools, real estate, not for profits, government contractors, wholesale distribution and manufacturers.Business Valuations, David received a certificate of educational achievement in business valuations from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. David has also attended continuing education programs on business valuations presented in San Diego, California; West Palm Beach, Florida; Orlando, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Dallas, Texas. In addition, David has acted as an expert witness and has been involved in bankruptcy settlements, and clients purchases or sale of their businesses.He currently serves as chairman of the firm’s Accounting and Audit Committee. Prior to joining the firm, David spent approximately nine years servicing various clients with a "Big Five" accounting firm. He then spent approximately three years with a local firm prior to joining Goodman & Company. Since joining Goodman & Company, David has performed various services for the Firms clients including, profit improvement studies, and buying and selling of businesses.Other Activities: Rotary International, Member, Brickell Scholarship Committee, Treasurer, Virginia Beach Neptune Festival, Committee Chair, VSCPA Accounting and Auditing Committee, Past Chairman , Grace Bible Church, Elder, JCOC, Treasurer. |
