Mr. Patterson's practice is currently focused on intellectual property litigation, primarily patent and trademark infringement and misappropriation of trade secret actions. Mr. Patterson began his legal career as a briefing attorney for the Dallas Court of Appeals. Since then, he has successfully litigated a wide range of disputes in state and federal courts at trial and appellate levels from both the plaintiff and defense sides of the aisle. In addition to intellectual property matters, his practice has covered various complex commercial litigation issues involving breach of contract, insurance coverage, indemnity, deceptive trade practices, attorney and accountant malpractice, and banking and real estate matters. As an appellate practitioner, he has argued cases before numerous Texas courts of appeals, the Texas Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. |
