David L. Bruck is a partner of the firm, where he is a member of the Litigation Department and Chair of the Insolvency and Restructuring Group. He has practiced with the firm since 1970. Mr. Bruck devotes himself to the commercial practice including bankruptcy and insolvency matters, partnership and shareholder disputes, receiverships, and trusteeships. His practice is, in part, transactional and, in part, litigation. During the early years of his practice, he spent considerable time in commercial foreclosures and real estate related transactions, developing a broad understanding of the interaction between borrowers, guarantors and lenders. Subsequently, his practice expanded to involve a more comprehensive range of commercial matters. He represents Chapter 11 debtors and other stakeholders in bankruptcy proceedings, and has successfully participated in complex reorganization cases in the real estate and other industries. A graduate of Tufts University (1965), Mr. Bruck received a J.D. degree from Rutgers University Law School (1968). He is a past president of the Association of the Federal Bar for the State of New Jersey, a member of the Commercial Law League of America, American Bankruptcy Institute, and a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is a Master of the New Jersey Bankruptcy Inns of Court. He is a frequent speaker on insolvency and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Bruck is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights category. Mr. Bruck is admitted to practice in New Jersey (1968). |
