David Belzer has 11 years of experience in energy finance, most recently with Prospect since joining in November 2004. Mr. Belzer currently serves as Managing Director and Head of Oil & Gas Investments for Prospect. Mr. Belzer also focuses on originating investments for Prospect in energy field services, pipelines, gas storage and other industry sectors.
Prior to joining Prospect, Mr. Belzer was a member of the Structured Finance Group at GE Capital, where he focused on investments in the oil and gas sector. While at GE Capital, Mr. Belzer structured over $250 million in limited partnership and senior secured investments in oil and gas assets.
From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Belzer worked for Wheelabrator Technologies, a developer of waste-to-energy plants. While at Wheelabrator, Mr. Belzer focused on power plant acquisitions and development of the company’s inside-the-fence cogeneration strategy in the northeast.
Mr. Belzer graduated from the University of Indiana with a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies. Subsequently, Mr. Belzer received his MBA. from the Olin School of Business at Washington University. Mr. Belzer also holds a NASD Series 7 license. |
