David Janus was named President and CEO of FirstMerit Bank’s Cleveland area office in May, 2004. David has more than 25 years of commercial banking experience during which time he has managed small business, middle market, and large corporate lending units. Most recently, he led commercial lending for Key Bank’s largest middle market banking region. Additionally, he has been a credit executive and a sales manager for a bank based investment management firm.
Janus is deeply committed to the Greater Cleveland area and its economic development. As an area banker, he has been an advocate for the City through his support of locally owned businesses. He believes these businesses are the bedrock of Cleveland and FirstMerit has a dedicated focus upon them, their owners, and their employees.
Janus holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. |
