David J. Christensen was appointed to Hecla’s Board of Directors in August 2003. He had previously served as a director from May 2002 to October 2002 when he was elected to the Board of Directors by preferred shareholders in May 2002. The payment of the dividends in arrears in July 2005 resulted in the elimination of this director position, at such time he was then appointed to the board when the number of director positions was increased from seven to nine. Mr. Christensen was a research analyst with Credit Suisse First Boston (an investment banking company) from October 2002 to August 2003; Global Coordinator and First Vice President, Merrill Lynch & Co. (an investment banking company) from 1998 to 2001; Vice President and Precious Metals Equity Analyst, Merrill Lynch & Co. from 1994 to 1998; Portfolio Manager of Franklin Gold Fund and Valuemark Precious Metals Funds for Franklin Templeton Group from 1990 to 1994. |
