J. David Brown III is President of Jemison Investment Co., Inc. In addition to being a Director of Jemison Investment Co., Inc., Mr. Brown serves on the board of various holdings of Jemison Investment. Additionally, Mr. Brown serves as director/ trustee to other business and civic organizations; i.e., Mountain Brook City School Foundation, University of Alabama at Birmingham Leadership Council, Alys Stephens Center Arts Advisory Board, Birmingham Metro YMCA, McWane Center and is Chairman of the Board of Grace House Ministries, Inc. Mr. Brown grew up in Franklin, Louisiana, received a bachelor’s degree from LSU in 1976 and completed both his MBA and Jurist Doctorate at the University of Alabama in 1979. Prior to joining Jemison Investment in 1989, Mr. Brown worked for United States Lines for seven years where he moved through the ranks to General Manager Atlantic Services. From 1986 to 1989, he worked in institutional sales and investment banking for the New York firm of Cyrus J. Lawrence. David and Janie Brown have three sons. |
