Dr. Hirsh has served as a director since November 2000. Dr. Hirsh is Executive Vice President of Research at Columbia University, where he served as the Robert Wood Johnson, Jr. Professor and Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University since 1990. From 1984 to 1990, he served as Executive Vice President of Research at Synergen, Inc., a biotechnology company. From 1971 to 1985, he served as a Professor at the University of Colorado. Dr. Hirsh received a B.A. in Biology from Reed College and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Rockefeller University. |
