David Morrison joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1979, has been a partner since 1986 and has been permanently based in Europe since 1989. He commutes between the Firm's Frankfurt and Paris offices and is active in the Firm's practice throughout the continent. His practice is focused on international financial transactions (including equity and debt offerings for major European industrial companies and financial institutions, as well as debt offerings for sovereigns) and mergers and acquisitions work. To name just a few of his transactions for European businesses in recent years, Mr. Morrison has represented banks and issuers in offerings or listings for Deutsche Telekom, Volkswagen, Siemens, Vivendi Universal, Espirito Santo Financial Group, KfW, Finland, Portugal and Greece, and has been involved in private or public M&A transactions involving Renault and Technip/Coflexip.
