David Montague is Senior Vice President, Technology of ABS Consulting. David's background includes more than 25 years of experience in reliability, safety, human factors, and risk assessment of complex engineered systems in the nuclear, chemical processing, and defense industries. Immediately prior to his current position, David was a principal of JBF Associates, Inc., a company he helped build since 1979 until its acquisition by ABS Group.
David holds a master's degree from the University of Tennessee and graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering. He was elected to the inaugural class of outstanding young engineers alumni at Georgia Tech in 1995. David has extensive experience in reliability methodology development and in software development for reliability data processing. He has served as a principal lecturer in the Process Safety Institute (an affiliate of ABS Group Inc.), where he has taught more than 5,000 engineers and managers in risk assessment technologies. He has also been a course lecturer for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and for the Air and Waste Management Society. He co-authored the book, "Guidelines for Hazard Evaluations with Worked Examples, Second Edition."
As Senior Vice President, Technology, he provides technology support to the complete operation of ABS Consulting. His principal focus is on assisting our Market Sector Leaders in securing larger value contracts in U.S. Federal space. David also provides technology support to the ABSC Asia Pacific offices technology training and marketing support. |
