David E. Oellerich is the owner and president of Mathews Construction. The company is a 42-year old Tampa based commercial and industrial construction management firm. The Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects named Mathews as its 1999 Outstanding Builder of the Year. Mathews was Aetna Insurance’s National Small Business of the Year in 2003 and the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year for 2004. Mr. Oellerich has been in the construction industry for 25 years advancing through positions in estimating, marketing and operations with international and regional construction firms prior to his involvement with Mathews.
Mr. Oellerich currently serves as the Chair-Elect of Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa. He has served as the president of the Rotary Club of Tampa and as Chair of the University of Tampa’s Board of Fellows. Mr. Oellerich is a graduate of the University of Florida’s Rinker School of Building Construction. Governor Bush has appointed Mr. Oellerich to the Florida Housing Board for a term that expires in November 2006. |
