Mr. Helsel’s work experience has centered on capital raising and middle market mergers and acquisitions. He focuses primarily on business and environmental services, retail, industrial manufacturing, specialty distribution and healthcare-related industries. Clients he has served include The Astrup Company in its sale to Glen Raven and SolmeteX Inc., which was acquired by Layne Christensen Company. Prior to joining Western Reserve Partners, Mr. Helsel worked with Amtrust Bank, where he tested the effectiveness of the company’s hedging techniques and developed a database that tracks changes in Amtrust’s net interest margins. Mr. Helsel was graduated summa cum laude (Valedictorian) with a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Boler School of Business at John Carroll University. He majored in finance and minored in economics.
Mr. Helsel is an Eagle Scout who remains active in his community. He continues to support St. Gabriel’s food bank in Concord, Ohio, which he co-founded with his brother, and tutors students studying finance. Interests of Mr. Helsel’s include researching stocks and playing racquetball. |
