David C. Jacobs is the Chief Operating Officer of Oswald Companies. He has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years in various underwriting and management roles. Dave is dedicated to managing Oswald’s services and support capabilities including strategic leadership of all practices, human resources, training and information services, technology, and branch operations. He will also manage executive interaction and strategy with all insurance companies.
Prior to joining Oswald Companies in August 2000, Dave was the Regional Vice President of AIG’s Great Lakes Regional office in Cleveland. He was responsible for managing a staff of 150 and a premium volume of $500 million. Previously, he managed AIG’s Risk Management Group, which consisted of underwriting, loss control and claims services for AIG’s National Accounts throughout the Midwest. Dave began his insurance career underwriting with CNA in Nashville, TN.

Has developed many new markets for Oswald Companies that provide more specialty products and services for our clients.
Offers extensive working knowledge of alternative risk structures for workers compensation and other casualty coverages for large corporations throughout the country (i.e. including captives, rent-a-captive, large deductibles, and SIR’s).
Education and Professional Affiliations
Mr. Jacobs is a graduate of The Ohio State University having earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing. He has received the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and has taken executive management courses from The University of Michigan. Dave currently serves on the board of directors for The MetroHealth Foundation, Cleveland Baseball Federation and Fisher College of Business Alumni. |
