David Cannon was named Vice President, Environment, Health & Safety for Allegheny Energy in January 2005. Previously, he was Vice President of Environmental Affairs for Allegheny Energy, having joined the company on Aug. 30, 2004.
Mr. Cannon began his career as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and later as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Interior. He joined PPG Industries, Inc. in 1981 and held various positions during his 23-year tenure, including Senior Counsel, Environmental, Group Counsel, Chemicals and Vice President, Environment, Health and Safety.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Cannon earned his bachelor’s degree in biology in 1973. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977. |
