Mr. Gelman was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, completed his undergraduate education at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law (high honors). Prior to joining Kennedy Childs & Fogg, P.C. in May 1996, Mr. Gelman practiced for four years in Chicago, Illinois at Pretzel & Stouffer, Chtd. specializing in the defense of medical malpractice, insurance coverage and insurance producers errors and omissions claims. Mr. Gelman is predominantly engaged in the defense of actions arising out of health care, including professional malpractice and long term care, as well as insurance coverage and bad faith actions. Mr. Gelman also has substantial experience in general liability defense and representing licensed professionals in regulatory and credentialing actions. Mr. Gelman is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Illinois state courts, the Federal District Courts of Colorado and Northern District of Illinois, and the Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Tenth Circuits. |
