Mr. Theil joined Supernus Pharmaceuticals as the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Theil's career of more than 25 years includes a Big 4 CPA firm and then several high technology companies in private accounting. Most recently, Mr. Theil served as Chief Financial Officer for a biotechnology company and previous to that at a telecommunications firm. At these posts, he was responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, administration and human resources. For the 10 previous years, Mr. Theil served as Corporate Treasurer at IGEN International, Inc., a biotechnology company. He helped take the Company public and then managed in the post-SEC environment for five of those years.

Mr. Theil began his career at Deloitte & Touche as a Manager of Emerging Business Markets Group, where he served clients in biotechnology, communications, healthcare and other technology sectors as well as founding the local DC computer consulting group for the firm. Mr. Theil obtained his BSc in Accounting and Finance in 1982 from Indiana University and completed his CPA exam in the same year.
