Dave Gambino joined Via Christi Health System as Vice President of Strategy in Septbember of 2006. Dave oversees planning, communications, marketing, decision support, and technology assessment/service line planning.
Dave held executive positions with Alegent Health in Omaha, Neb., from 2000 to 2006 including serving as Vice President, Business Development. He also held vice president positions with St. Joseph's Mercy Hospitals and Health Services in Clinton Township, Mich., and at Mercy Hospital in Port Huron, Mich. Dave began his career in pharmacy with Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Mich.
At Alegent Health Dave led strategic planning and facilitated an innovative accelerated decision-making process, which is among the first of its kind in healthcare. He oversaw business development plans that helped Alegent Health increase its market share, and helped create physician partnerships which built market share for the system's major service lines. He led a team to minimize leakage from the system and developed tracking and measurement systems. Dave "reinvented" marketing across Alegent Health, leading the development of a repositioned branding strategy that used key differentiators for the system as a basis for a far-reaching branding campaign.
Dave holds a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from Wayne State University. |
