Mr. Perdue is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Dollar General Corporation, a sales organization headquartered in Goodlettsville, Tenn. He was named Chief Executive Officer and a Director in April 2003 and elected Chairman of the Board in June 2003. From July 2002 to March 2003, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pillowtex Corporation, a textile manufacturing company located in Kannapolis, N.C. Pillowtex filed for bankruptcy in July 2003. From 1998 to 2002, he was employed by Reebok International Limited, where he served as President of the Reebok Brand from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Perdue has served as a Director of IP&L (or predecessor companies), WP&L and AER since 2001. |
