As senior developmental editor, Dave's job is making sure the content of YS curriculum, books, and other resources is the best it can be. He has a blast yukking it up with the ultra-knowledgeable and supportive folk in the product department (Jay, Roni, Holly, and David)...when he's in town, that is. Dave has been working from New Jersey for the last three years while his better half, Jenny, completed her Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Now they re ensconced in The Garden State for a different reason: Jack! On Aug. 9, Jenny and Dave welcomed their first child into the world, and they couldn t be happier (as well as all the other emotions you d expect from new parents). Alas, their mutt, Abby, is no longer top dog, but she s excited to have a human smaller than she is to watch over and whip into shape. In his spare time, Dave enjoys listening to music, writing about music, and playing music. He writes for the Chicago Tribune, New Man, the Journal of Student Ministries (the professional periodical from our friend, Will Penner), and other publications. As you can see from his photo, Dave's still pumped about his first book, The Man Comes Around: The Spiritual Journey of Johnny Cash for Relevant Books.
