Dave Speas serves as Controller at Midwest Electric, overseeing finance, accounting and administration. He holds a master of accountancy degree with a concentration in audit from the University of Tennessee. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rhodes College and was a presidential scholarship recipient, as well as the captain of both the varsity cross country and track teams.Dave’s professional career includes experience in audit services, the restaurant industry, and the convenience store industry. Most recently, he worked at Wendy’s International as an accounting supervisor in shared services, where he assisted in centralizing accounting functions to Columbus, served as the initial production user of payroll reporting systems, and was responsible for oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and store reporting.Before moving to Ohio, Dave was the assistant controller and accounting manager at MAPCO Express Inc, in Nashville, Tennessee. He also worked at Arthur Andersen, LLP, as an audit senior. |
