Dave Critchlow brings 15 years of engineering management experience to Sequoia Communications and is currently the Vice President of Engineering. Before joining Sequoia Communications, Mr. Critchlow was Vice President of Engineering of Magis Networks, a start-up company focused on 5GHz wireless multimedia networking chipsets. He managed all of engineering and oversaw the successful development of both RF and Baseband ICs. Before Magis Networks, Mr. Critchlow was Vice President of Engineering for Mitsubishi Wireless Communications, a start-up wireless design center in San Diego. There he led the architecture design, development, and verification of the world’s first single-chip IS136 cellular baseband processor, and managed the company’s T300 cellular handset product line into production. Prior to that, Mr. Critchlow was Senior Director of Engineering at Uniden where his responsibilities included the design of all hardware for two generations of GSM and IS-136 dual-mode/dual-band terminals including RF, modem, audio, DSP, system test, and mechanical design. He also worked for Hughes Network Systems (formerly Linkabit Corporation), where he was the technical director for radio, modem, and handset developments targeting TDMA, GSM, Satellite, and GM On-Star products. Mr. Critchlow has led over ten wireless chip projects into full production. Mr. Critchlow received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego. He has been granted 27 patents. |
