Mr. Carrington is responsible for acquisitions and dispositions as well as redevelopment and portfolio management initiatives in the Mid-West and East Coast for AvalonBay Communities.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Carrington was the Vice President of Acquisitions, Dispositions and Portfolio Management at Camden Property Trust. During this time, Camden acquired and sold over 16,200 apartments and completed over $1.2 billion in mergers and structured transactions. Mr. Carrington also underwrote mezzanine loan investments and managed Camden’s joint venture relationships for over 5,000 homes. Prior to joining Camden, he was responsible for asset management and acquisitions at MIG Realty Advisors, one of the largest privately held pension fund advisors in the United States.
Mr. Carrington earned his Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University and his Bachelor of Science degree in finance and management from California State University, Chico. He is an active member of National Multi Housing Council and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). |
