Darrell Jordan Biography :

Mr. Jordan is the Office Managing Attorney of the firm's Dallas, Texas office. He has long been considered a leader in the legal profession and is active throughout the Dallas community. He has been honored for his leadership roles within the legal community on many occasions. Those leadership roles include serving as President of the State Bar of Texas, President of the Dallas Bar Association, and as a member of the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee of the American Bar Association. He is a 2005 Distinguished Alumnus of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and a former president of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society. Mr. Jordan is a Life Fellow of the American, Texas and Dallas Bar Foundations, and he is a Master of the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court. He is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Jordan's community involvement extends to political activism and civic service throughout Dallas and Texas. He actively serves on the boards of several local organizations including the Methodist Health System Foundation, Greater Dallas Planning Council, Southwestern Medical Foundation, Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and the SMU Athletic Forum. Representative Experience Commercial Litigation Representation of the Texas Supreme Court, Texas Equal Access to Justice Foundation and its Chair in a lawsuit brought by Washington Legal Foundation challenging the constitutionality of the Texas IOLTA program; representation included a trial in the District Court, appeal to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and, upon grant of writ of certiorari by the U.S. Supreme Court, briefing and argument in that Court on January 13, 1998; there was a trial in the District court again upon remand, appeal to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and ultimately victory in the U.S. Supreme Court in 2003 Representation of G.E.
