Darko Hrelic is a senior vice president and Gartner chief information officer (CIO). He leads the Strategic Technology Group in ensuring Gartner fully leverages the capabilities of technology to deliver exceptional value to clients and further develops the technical infrastructure to support long-term corporate growth objectives.
Hrelic joined Gartner from Automatic Data Processing (ADP) where he most recently led all aspects of ADP’s technical Strategy, Architecture and Technology as VP & CTO of Employer Services. He played an instrumental role in driving the service oriented architecture vision and strategy.
Prior to joining ADP, Hrelic spent over 21 years at IBM, most of which were at the renowned TJ Watson Research Center, working in areas such as videotext, high speed communications, electronic commerce and others. He also helped form the IBM Internet Division in the mid-90s, where he spearheaded the technical strategy for eCommerce or eBusiness as it is known today. In 2000, Hrelic helped found e2open.com, a high tech industry electronic marketplace consortium startup.
Hrelic holds a master’s degree in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology. |
