Daniel W. Duval is the Lead Director of the Board of Arrow Electronics. He joined Arrow as a Director in 1987 and served as Chairman from June 2002 until May 2006 . He also was interim President and Chief Executive Officer from September 2002 until February 2003.
Duval's career began in Cleveland Ohio with National Castings Company which was acquired by Midland-Ross Corporation in 1964. In 1968 he became the sales manager of the company's Castings Division in Phoenix Arizona. Duval was promoted to General Manager of the Electrical Products Division and later served as Group Vice President Electrical Electronic and Aerospace Products. He held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of Midland-Ross from 1983 until its sale to Forstmann Little in 1986.
In 1986 Duval was elected President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Robbins & Myers Inc. a supplier of equipment and systems for global pharmaceutical energy and industrial markets. He served as the company's Chief Executive Officer until his retirement in 1999.
Duval holds a bachelor's degree in industrial management from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to Arrow he serves on the boards of The Manitowoc Company Inc. Robbins & Myers Inc. and Miller-Valentine Group and Gosiger Inc. He is a former Chairman of the Wright State University Board of Trustees and serves as Chairman of the Arts Center Foundation of Dayton. |
