Dan Bass joined Carson Medlin in 2006 and manages the firm’s Texas office. He most recently was Senior Vice President in charge of mergers and acquisitions for Compass Bancshares, Inc., a $30 billion regional bank holding company headquartered in Birmingham, AL. While at Compass, Mr. Bass participated in over 30 transactions with financial institutions and financial services companies across the nation. Prior to joining Compass, Mr. Bass was a senior manager of financial services at KPMG; an investment banking associate at Sheshunoff & Co.; and a senior financial analyst at the FDIC in Washington DC. Mr. Bass is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and received an M.S. in Information Management at Marymount University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has been designated an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuations by the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Bass is a past lecturer at the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU and is a frequent speaker on acquisition topics at executive management seminars. |
