Experience:
Daniel Marschollek has a diverse intellectual property practice that focuses on trademark prosecution and trademark / industrial design infringement litigation, with special emphasis on clients in the sports, fashion and telecommunications industries.
Daniel's trademark and industrial design enforcement experience encompasses litigation in German and European courts, including domestic and cross-border ex-parte injunction proceedings. In a related area of trademark enforcement, he develops and manages efficient and effective anti-counterfeiting programs for various Fortune 500 entities, including border seizure proceedings and related litigation.
In the area of trademark prosecution, Daniel is experienced in all areas of German and international practice. He is responsible for international trademark portfolios of numerous corporate clients, and advises them on trademark availability, procurement, and protection, with particular emphasis on worldwide trademark prosecution and enforcement strategies (including trademark licensing agreements). Daniel handles trademark opposition/cancellation proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Office for the Harmonization in the Internal Market. He is knowledgeable on European Community constitutional law involving copyrights and intellectual property rights, as well as general EC administrative and antitrust law. Reflecting his international practice, Daniel is fluent in English, French and Polish.
Daniel has practiced in Frankfurt since 2000. He joined Mayer Brown in 2002 and was named a partner in 2005.
