Daniel J. Murphy was elected a director of Lyondell effective February 2006. He is president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Alliant Techsystems Inc. (ATK), a supplier of aerospace and defense products.
Since 2003, Murphy has been chief executive officer of ATK and assumed his role as chairman in April 2005. From 2002 to 2003, he was group vice president, ATK Precision Systems Group. From 2001 to 2002, Murphy served as president, ATK Tactical Systems.
Following a 30-year career with the U.S. Navy, Murphy retired in 2000 with the rank of Vice Admiral.
Murphy is a member of the Compensation and Human Resources and Corporate Responsibility and Governance Committees. |
