Daniel J. Pereira is a patent attorney in the firm's Chemical Practice Group. His practice focuses on client counseling, portfolio management, patent prosecution, litigation and interferences with experience in a wide range of areas, such as medical, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals, for both international and domestic clients. Prior to joining the firm, he was a research scientist at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine conducting research in the fields of neurodegeneration and transgenic mouse models of human disease.
Dr. Pereira received his Law degree from George Washington University Law School. He received a Ph.D. in Genetics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he studied gene expression and gene therapy. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Earlham College, where he performed research in the area of leukemia pathogenesis.
Dr. Pereira is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. |
