Dale Thatcher is executive vice president, treasurer, and chief financial officer of Selective Insurance Group, Inc., with responsibility for the company's overall financial areas as well as investor relations.
Mr. Thatcher was promoted to executive vice president in 2003. Prior to joining Selective in 2000, he worked most recently with Ohio Casualty Insurance Company, where he was chief accounting officer and director of investor relations. He has a broad background in all aspects of property and casualty finance, including capital structure planning, SEC reporting, tax strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory negotiations.
Mr. Thatcher graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and holds an MBA in finance from the same university. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and a Chartered Life Underwriter. Mr. Thatcher is a member of both the American Institute and Ohio Societies of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Executives Institute, the National Investor Relations Institute, the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters, and the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association. |
