Coley founded CTB Consulting in July 1990 after achieving repeated sales and management success with a number of hardware, software and reseller organizations. His uncompromising commitment to quality and customer satisfaction defines the foundation upon which CTB Consulting has been built. Today, Coley provides the vision and strategic direction for the company. Coley possesses a rare combination of technical expertise and business acumen with over 25 years of industry experience. He was one of the early employees at 3Com where he instrumental in establishing OEM relationships with ATT, DEC, and building the initial reseller and system integrator businesses. He also opened several 3Com offices and was consistently recognized as one of the top worldwide sales and management performers. Previous to 3Com, Coley developed corporate and commercial sales at The Computer Factory while implementing some of the first PC production systems for the NY Transit Authority, Lipton, and General Foods. He was also the International Marketing Manager for Bunker Ramo where he coordinated all activities for their Canadian and European subsidiaries. Coley brings specialized expertise in the consolidation of disparate systems including application expertise with Messaging, Workflow, Financial Reporting and IT Infrastructures. These are the cornerstones on which CTB Consulting has been built. Under Coley’s leadership CTB has consolidated operations at Starwood and FrontRange, prepared systems for divested units of Dun & Bradstreet and Thomson Corporation, implemented messaging systems for Philip Morris and Dun & Bradstreet, designed network infrastructures for CitiBank, Amerada Hess and MetLife, developed compensation systems for Pepsico and AC Nielsen, developed a global oil trading system for EXXON, automated port operations for Sea-Land Service and the South Carolina State Ports Authority. Coley is a recognized authority on integrating both client/server databases and Internet systems with legacy host systems. He has been a featured speaker at numerous software user conferences including Hyperion, Information Builders, Sybase, and Microsoft, and is the author of numerous white papers on the topics of Internet Enablement of Financial Reporting Systems, Universal Database Connectivity, Proto-cycle Development Process, On Line Transaction Processing, and Microsoft Transaction Server Architecture. Coley received double undergraduate majors in Math and Economics from the New York University College of Arts and Sciences, where he graduated with honors in economics, and completed a Computer Information and Application Systems MBA in one year. Under the auspices of NYU’s International Graduate Exchange Program, Coley also completed studies at The London School for Business and Les Hautes Etudes Commercial in France. Coley’s personal interests include building and racing cars as well as operating a crewed catamaran sailing vessel in the Caribbean, Gliding, and instructing Judo. |
