Ms. Brown joined RatnerPrestia after working as a Summer Associate with the firm. She is a member of RatnerPrestia’s Chemical, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Materials Patent Procurement Group. In 2007, Ms. Brown earned her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Widener University School of Law. During law school, she actively participated with Widener’s Intellectual Property Society, holding positions as Treasurer, Vice President, and President. She externed for Vice Chancellor Parsons in the Delaware Court of Chancery where she assisted with patent mediations. Additionally, she was a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society where she competed in trial competitions. Ms. Brown graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2001 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a dual degree in Science, Technology, and Society. At RPI, she was actively involved with American Institute of Chemical Engineers holding the position of Vice President in the RPI student chapter. Before attending law school, she worked as a Process Engineer for a global high-performance specialty materials company where she was responsible for such tasks as investigating production problems and developing and implementing corrective actions. She subsequently received a Proprietary Technology Innovation Award in 2003 for engineering modifications on the casting line. Ms. Brown is a member of RatnerPrestia's Chemical / Biotech / Pharmaceutical Group. |
