Christine D. Socha, an associate with the firm, focuses her practice on commercial litigation and land use.
As a commercial litigator, Christine is actively involved in a wide range of issues. She assists the firm’s clients with matters ranging from contract disputes to labor and employment. She is currently working on a NASD arbitration with one of the firm’s senior litigators. In addition, Christine appoints special medical guardianships on behalf of the firm’s hospital clients.
Christine supports attorneys in the firm’s Real Estate & Land Use Group by conducting research related to ongoing land use matters. She currently represents a church regarding various land use issues in connection with the expansion of its cemetery.
She is a member of the NMM Women’s Forum Major Events Planning Subcommittee, which plans one large charitable event per year.
Christine previously served as judicial law clerk for The Honorable Peter E. Doyne, P.J.S.C., Bergen County, Chancery Division. As a law clerk, Christine primarily assisted in drafting court opinions. She also performed legal research on various issues, including orders to show cause, summary judgment motions, motions to enforce litigant’s rights and motions to vacate default. As a court appointed mediator, she also mediated Special Civil Part and Small Claims suits.
While studying at Seton Hall University School of Law, Christine was active in the Family Law Clinic, Family Law Society, Gressman Moot Court Competition and Phi Alpha Delta Law Society.
Outside of work, Christine serves as the Class Correspondent for the Lafayette College Class of 2002, and is an Adult Volunteer with the Youth Ministry Program of St. Helen’s Church in Westfield, New Jersey. |
