Dr. Koutures attended medical school at University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed both his internship and his residency at University of Wisconsin-Madison. He performed a fellowship at the University of California, San Diego in Sports Medicine. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, OC Medical Association and as the Medical Team Physician at Cal State Fullerton. Honors include Volunteer Physician, US Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs- 2003.
Dr. Koutures is board certified in Pediatrics and Sports Medicine. His philosophy of care is belief in actively educating and preventing injuries and illness- informing patients and their parents so they can make educated decisions about the health and activity of children. He is specifically interested in Head Injuries, Exercise-Induced Asthma, Overuse Injuries, Injury Prevention, Sports Medicine Teaching and Education. |
