Mr. Laing is head of the firm's New York office, and responsible for developing and maintaining its relationships with private capital providers as well as originating, underwriting and executing investments. Previously, Mr. Laing was a Principal at Stairway Capital Management, L.P. ("SCM"), a credit-oriented investment firm with more than $300 million under management. During his tenure at SCM, Mr. Laing was responsible for sourcing new opportunities, analyzing and executing investments in public and private companies as well as real estate projects, and monitoring portfolio investments. Prior to joining SCM, Mr. Laing was a Principal in the Private Equity Group at Eos Partners, L.P. ("Eos"), an investment firm with more than $2.5 billion under management, where he originated, evaluated, executed and monitored investments. Prior to joining Eos, Mr. Laing was an associate at Rosecliff, Inc. ("Rosecliff"), a private equity firm with more than $175 million under management. During his tenure at Rosecliff, Mr. Laing worked with portfolio companies across a broad range of industries, including building products, real estate and specialty retail. Mr. Laing began his career as an Associate at Inter-Asia Venture Management, Ltd. ("IAVM"), an investment firm in Hong Kong, where he analyzed, executed and monitored multi-country investments in the commercial construction and development, property management and leisure industries, among others. Mr. Laing graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College, and received a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Business School while working as an Associate in the Private Equity Group at Weiss, Peck and Greer, LLC.
