John Charles M. Herington Senior Vice President Latin America has full profit-and-loss responsibility for Avon’s operations in a vast region that encompasses Mexico Central America and all of South America.
Mr. Herington joined Avon in March 2006 after 25 years of experience of working in Latin America with major brand name consumer marketing companies. Before joining Avon Mr. Herington spent six years at AOL Latin America as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Earlier in his career Mr. Herington served as President Revlon Latin America where he played an instrumental role in helping to restructure Revlon’s business streamline staffing and revive the company’s local hair care brands. Before that he held progressively responsible positions at PepsiCo Restaurants International to eventually become Regional Vice President of KFC Pizza Hut and Taco Bell for South America Central America and the Caribbean.
During the 1980s Mr. Herington held a series of increasingly responsible positions in product marketing at The Procter & Gamble Company in a number of Latin American markets and Canada.
Mr. Herington is a member of the Board of Directors of ADVO a direct marketing company Molson-Coors and NII Holdings (formerly Nextel International).
