Charles "Charlie" Ahmes is vice president of Onboard Service for United. He is based at the company's operations center in suburban Chicago.
Named to the position in August 2006, Ahmes is responsible for the company's worldwide flight attendant operations; food and beverage service design and operations; and flight attendant and pilot crew hotel accommodations.
Prior to his current position, Ahmes served as managing director of Onboard Service where he was responsible for all aspects of forecasting, planning and scheduling for the flight attendant workforce. He has held a variety of senior positions within the Onboard division. In addition, Ahmes participated in numerous labor negotiations. He also led the Onboard Service team during the integration of Pan Am Pacific routes and the international team during the expansion of the division's international domiciles. |
