Celisa Steele is an Isoph co-founder and oversees all client engagements for the division. Prior to starting Isoph, she worked at Quisic in the creative and marketing departments, where she helped the company successfully rebrand itself in the summer of 2000. Before joining Quisic, Celisa worked in curriculum development for the not-for-profit Family and Children's Resource Program (FCRP), part of the Jordan Institute for Families at the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. FCRP works closely with the Children's Division of the Department of Social Services to write and deliver the curricula used to train child welfare social workers across the state of North Carolina. Prior to that, she worked with the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center, focusing specifically on accessibility issues for individuals with disabilities.



Celisa is co-editor of Pinesong, the annual collection of award-winning poems put out by the North Carolina Poetry Society, an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to promoting the reading and writing of poetry. She also serves on the research advisory committee of the eLearning Guild.



Celisa earned bachelor's degrees in English and French from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a master's in comparative literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was an instructor of French for two years. She speaks French, Spanish, and modern standard Arabic.
