During her 10-year career Carrie has focused on assisting her clients with various initiatives within research administration. Her expertise lies in the area of cost recovery and compliance specifically in helping institutions calculate and maximize their facilities and administrative (F&A) cost rate calculations for research implementing pooled fringe benefit rates while maintaining compliance with the applicable federal regulations.

Directed the facilities and administrative cost rate calculations for more than 25 research-intensive institutions.
Performed diagnostic assessments to identify opportunities and strategies for F&A rate enhancement.
Assisted institutions to properly plan and execute a space inventory in compliance with OMB Circular A-21 and the DHHS review guide.
Conducted and oversaw every aspect of the rate calculation process including space inventory review and validation; cost pool compilation and review; cost pool allocation methodologies; and proposal preparation review and submission.
Assisted with the negotiation and defense of the F&A rate proposal with DHHS negotiators.
Identified changes and updates to the disclosure statement (DS-2) as a result of the methodologies used in the F&A cost rate calculation.
